George Tatakis first studied Electrical Engineering in Edinburgh because he believed that photography was too insecure financially. However, he bought himself a camera with his first paycheck as an engineer. Completely self-taught, he studied photo books, took drawing lessons and turned his bedroom into a darkroom. In 2013 he decided to follow his passion and make the transition to a full-time career in photography.
George Tatakis makes pictures, documenting life. He has been published internationally, including National Geographic and LFI international and exhibited images so far in New York and around Greece. The purpose of his images is to capture real moments and make you see them again through his own eyes.
