Like every year during the month of June Tel Aviv is hosting the "Pride week". A one week full of events relating the LGBQ community which culminating in the biggest pride parade of the middle east at the end of this week.

The parade attracting Over 100,000 people, local and abroad, uniting for a gigantic celebration for peace, tolerance and accepting the variety in lifestyles and ways of life.

As an avid street photographer such event presents abundance of photographic opportunities which I can not resist. So every year I grab my camera and headed for the street of Tel Aviv to capture the pride parade through my lens

The pride parade start with a big ceremonial gathering at Meir park, home of the gay center, then the participants march through the streets of Tel Aviv towards the seashore promenade there the decorated flatbed trucks awaits them, each truck mounted with DJ and dancers represent different organization or local establishment related with the LGBQ community.

The parade attracting Over 100,000 people, local and abroad, uniting for a gigantic celebration for peace, tolerance and accepting the variety in lifestyles and ways of life.

The parade begins to move along the promenade eventually reaching the main event at the Charles Clore Garden there under a big tent a big dance party is being held where local and international DJs make sure that no one will stay indifferent to the music. Everybody no matter who you are is gathering for one big celebration.

I, as a street photographer, sometimes distance myself behind the camera in order to capture unique moments of this special day but so often I put my camera down and join the celebration like everybody else.

And when the music is over you sometimes catch those unique moments after all.
